The end of the world or its beginning!
A cold and romantic place, where there are polar bears and polar nights... and the place where I was born!

Later, in 1980, my family moved to the true heart of Russia, Siberia.
We spent a few very memorable years there. In the beginning of the 1990's, the Soviet Union crumbled and the wall opened finally for the new horizon..."

Well, this was the beginning of the big trip for the small Russian girl with Asian blood!

Alina Novopashina trained as a fine artist at the Novosibirsk School of Arts.
She discovered her passion for photography as a student at the University of St.-Petersburg, where she got the diploma in Journalism.

She inherited the love for music and fashion from her mum and the passion for letters and pictures from her father.

Alina Novopashina began her publishing career as a junior photographer in 2004 with her first images appearing in a German Magazine titled "POTATO".

During 2006 – 2008, Alina Novopashina worked as a photo editor of the German division of Conde Nast-owned American magazine “Architectural Digest” in Munich and Berlin .

From 2008 through 2010, Alina Novopashina worked as a staff photographer in German Press Agency, dpa.

Currently, the young photographer resides in Berlin and performs freelance photography work. Alina Novopashina’s specialties range from photographing political and cultural events, to capturing portraits of regular people and reportage.

She is also interested in directing and editing news events and documentary films.
